If you’ve ever dreamed of sleeping underneath the Northern Lights, this might be your dream home – as long as you can stand the cold, that is.

A “snow igloo” in Pelkosenniemi, Finland is available to book on Airbnb from $122 a night, offering a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to sleep in a dome made of snow which is built by the hosts each winter.
Inside the igloo, which is located next to the Lake Pyhäjärvi and Pyhä-Luosto National Park, you'll find "real beds" and a "nice atmosphere with LED lights and white walls," according to the listing.
"It's always minus degrees inside the igloo," it goes on, adding that while a warm sleeping bag is provided, thermal layers, a warm hat, socks, and gloves are recommended, as well as a headlight or flashlight.
You can fit up to four people per igloo.
If you get too cold, don't fear - there's a "warm house" with toilets, a shower, a living room, and a small kitchen that guests are free to use any time of day (or night) if they're in need of some heat, while a light self-service breakfast is also provided.
Lucky guests may even have a chance of catching the Northern Lights.
Ryan, who stayed at the igloo in March 2019, wrote a review saying: "We were there for only one night but lucked out and saw the northern lights. Absolutely amazing."
He added: "While I expected the igloo to be fairly cold I was pleasantly surprised by how warm the sleeping bags were. We were very comfortable."
Another guest who stayed in February, Allison, wrote that the host, Antti, even took them "snow surfing" and provides husky rides.
"The igloo was also beautiful and very warm," Allison said. "There are beautiful open skies for aurora watching and it is right near the ski lodge in case you want to do any other kinds of activities related to that."
