In an Entertainment Tonight interview outside the Super Bowl, 15-year-old TikTok star Charli D’Amelio described her whirlwind journey from going viral for her dancing skills to getting to dance alongside her idol, J. Lo.

When D’Amelio found out that Jennifer Lopez knew her name and wanted to dance with her for a TikTok challenge, the social media influencer initially broke down into tears. As she explained during the interview, dancing with the Super Bowl half-time performer was at the very top of her vision board.

“A couple years ago I decided that it was my dream to dance with J. Lo,” D’Amelio told Entertainment Tonight. “At first, when I first met her and I got to shake her hand, I was blank-faced. I didn’t know what to say.”

D'Amelio filmed the "#JLoSuperBowlChallenge" with Lopez, who promoted her Super Bowl performance with a TikTok dance routine on the short-form video app. J. Lo's official account posted a few videos of people performing the challenge to her song "On The Floor," including a group rendition starring D'Amelio and the singer.

"It kind of set in and tears just started rolling down my eyes, 'cause this is all I've ever really, really wanted to experience and it happened," D'Amelio said. "At first, you can even see it in the video that she posted, I got nervous and I forgot the dance at first. But we repeated it twice and the second time I got it and was just so, so excited."

In a hilariously awkward interview segment, D'Amelio also addressed her relationship with 17-year-old Chase "Lilhuddy" Hudson, the co-creator of the Hype House TikTok collective both D'Amelio sisters are in. When the Entertainment Tonight interviewer brought up Hudson, D'Amelio and her older sister Dixie were reduced to giggles.

"It's great, he's a really, really sweet boy," D'Amelio said. "Not 'boyfriend' yet, but definitely exclusive."

She expressed how unbelievable it was to shoot to viral stardom over just a few months, taking her all the way to the Super Bowl, where she also starred in a Sabra Hummus commercial.

"I would have never thought a couple months ago before all this started that I would be invited to come to the Super Bowl and be able to do cool things like this, so it's very crazy," D'Amelio said. "It's weird that people know my name."
