Brad Pitt is not a crier.

The actor told fellow actor Anthony Hopkins that he hadn’t cried in about 20 years in an interview for Interview Magazine.

“I am quite famously a not-crier. Is that a term?” Pitt said.

“I hadn’t cried in, like, 20 years, and now I find myself, at this latter stage, much more moved – moved by my kids, moved by friends, moved by the news. Just moved.”

Hopkins - now 81 years old - said that, conversely, he cries at the drop of a hat, and told Pitt: "You'll find, as you get older, that you just want to weep."

Hopkins and Pitt costarred with eachother in the 1994 western "Legends of the Fall" and 1998's fantasy drama "Meet Joe Black."

In the interview, the pair also spoke about their mutual struggle with alcoholism. Both are now sober.

"I look at it, and I think, 'What a great blessing that was because it was painful,'" Hopkins told Pitt.

"I did some bad things. But it was all for a reason, in a way."

Pitt told The New York Times in September this year that he had spent a year and a half in Alcoholics Anonymous after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce in 2016.

"I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privileges," he said.
