The United Kingdom reported zero COVID-19 related deaths over 24 hours on Tuesday, marking the first time no deaths from the virus have been reported in the UK since the pandemic began.

According to government data, the number of deaths reported is tied to people who died within 28 days of testing positive for COVID-19.

On Monday, the UK reported one death from COVID-19, and down from six on Sunday and seven on Saturday.
