We asked Netflix cofounder Marc Randolph for his best advice any entrepreneur can use to get their startup idea off the ground

• Netflix cofounder Marc Randolph has had a lot of experience with starting companies.
• His main advice is simple: find a problem to solve, and then take steps to work it out. 
• He also recommends entrepreneurs ask their mentors for tough love.

When Marc Randolph conceived the idea for Netflix in 1997 with his cofounder Reed Hastings, not everybody believed in his vision.

This included his wife, who thought the idea for the streaming service would never work. 

Obviously, she was wrong. Today, Netflix is worth more than $230 billion.
