There’s any number of reasons why you might want to delete your Steam account. Maybe you find your game collection distracting, and want to move on from it. Or maybe you’re just trying to get rid of accounts that have your personal information.

Regardless of the circumstances, there is a way for you to delete your Steam account. Do keep in mind, however, that once you delete your Steam account, there’s no turning back.

So, if you have any games you may have purchased throughout your Steam account’s lifespan, there’ll be no way to recover them. Any game that requires a Steam account to play – and that’s most of them – will be unplayable, even if you’ve already installed it. And all of the money in your Steam Wallet – which is non-transferable – will be erased as well.

Be sure to consider all your options before deciding to delete your Steam account.
