Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais joked about Leonardo DiCaprio’s penchant for dating younger women during his wild introduction to Sunday’s awards show that essentially told Hollywood to f— off.

The comedian started the joke by speaking about Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” which stars DiCaprio alongside Brad Pitt.

“[It’s] almost three hours long – it’s an epic,” he said.

“Leonardo DiCaprio attended the premiere, and by the end, his date was too old for him.”

Despite the jibe, DiCaprio can be seen laughing heartily in the crowd before Gervais takes it a step further.

"Even Prince Andrew's like, 'Come on, mate, you're nearly 50, son'" - a reference to the royal's current embroilment in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Last year, a graph charting DiCaprio's relationship history made by Reddit user TrustLittleBrother appears to show that his cut-off age for girlfriends is 25.

DiCaprio was far from the only A-lister in the room to come under fire from Gervais during his opening monologue.

Gervais managed to insult most of Hollywood before concluding: "If you win an award tonight, don't use it as a platform to make a political speech.

"You're in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg.

"So if you win, come up, accept your little award, thank your agent, and your god, and f--- off."
