- “Just be able to pee by yourself,” Bale said in an interview with Variety at the Toronto Film Festival.
- “You don’t feel much like a superhero when you aren’t able to piss by yourself,” he added.

Christian Bale played Batman for seven years across three epic, Christopher Nolan-directed movies.
Few are better placed, then, to offer some sage advice to the next Batman, Robert Pattinson, who will star as the caped crusader in director Matt Reeves’ incarnation, slated for release in June 2021.

In an interview with Variety at the Toronto Film Festival on Sunday, Bale endorsed Pattison’s casting, as did his “Ford v. Ferrari” costar, Matt Damon.
"Good choice! He's interesting," Bale said.
"Did you see the Safdie brothers movie he did?" Damon asked. "He was fantastic."
Variety's Marc Malkin then asked what Bale's advice was for Pattinson on slipping into the iconic batsuit.
"Oh, same as Ben [Affleck], just be able to pee by yourself," he said. "You don't feel much like a superhero when you aren't able to piss by yourself."
Unfortunately for Pattinson, it sounds like he's going to face similar problems to those Bale faced.
In a recent interview with Variety, Pattinson said that it took five people to help him into the batsuit.
"The ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating," he said.
"Once you've got it on, it's like, 'Yeah, I feel strong, I feel tough, even though I had to have someone squeezing my butt cheeks into the legs.'"
