Actress Letitia Wright was taken to a Boston hospital after a stunt accident on the set of the upcoming Marvel film "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," Deadline reported Wednesday.

"Letitia Wright sustained minor injuries today while filming a stunt for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She is currently receiving care in a local hospital and is expected to be released soon," a Marvel spokesperson told Deadline.

Representatives for Disney, which owns Marvel, did not immediately return Insider's request for comment Wednesday. Wright is reprising her role as "Shuri" in the Marvel blockbuster.

The injuries were minor and were not expected to interfere with the filming schedule, sources told Deadline. The injury occurred during the use of a stunt rig while filming occurred in Boston.
