The US Coast Guard intercepted a boat carrying 17,000 pounds of cocaine.

The pursuit occurred on international waters in the Pacific Ocean.

The Coast Guardsmen repeatedly yelled "Stop the boat!" in Spanish. The semi-submersible vessel, built to avoid detection by radar and aircraft, carried 17,000 pounds of cocaine worth about $232 million.

Between May and June, the US Coast Guard seized over 39,000 pounds of cocaine in 14 drug busts.
