  • When 90-year-old Italian design firm Pininfarina launched a car brand, Michael Perschke was its first CEO.
  • Perschke left and is now the head of a seed investment group called New Automovile Development.

Michael Perschke has been all over the automotive map, from directing Audi India to becoming the CEO of ultra-luxury EV company Automobili Pininfarina upon its 2018 launch. He attributes a lot of that to his broad network in the field.

“I never really applied for a job, I basically always followed people,” Perschke told Insider. “Most of the positions I got were from personal relationships.”
