Gabrielle “Gigi” Robinson was 11 when she was diagnosed with the first of three chronic illnesses – Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), which manifests itself in chronic pain, fatigue and being prone to injury.

In 2019, she was also diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, which causes dizziness and increased heart rate on standing up, as well as mast cell activation syndrome, triggering severe allergic reactions.

Around four years ago, when she started at University of Southern California (USC), Robinson joined the college’s student social media club Reach.
